BCP ARE LOOKING FOR ONE ACTOR to play the role of DUNYA (DENISE) sophisticated and expensively-dressed New Yorker (35+) in The Donahue Sisters by Geraldine Aron. Irish accent also required for childhood scenes.
There are 7 weeks rehearsal (2 nights per week) leading to one performance at the BCP Season Preview on 12 October 2010.
This unusual and award-winning drama brings shivers to the spine and tells the story of three sisters re-united due to their father’s illness. They sit in their childhood attic playroom talking of their lives long into the night until the time for a ritual re-enactment of a violent and disturbing incident from their childhood.
The audition will consist of three small sections of the script showing Dunya in her present day New Yorker guise and also as the elder sister in childhood. Time will be given to prepare.
